19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hard surfaces
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid period, managing just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and finally splitting with long-time trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is his maiden championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court after March of the previous year.
Success also means Medvedev has secured 21 titles at 21 various tournaments.
"For the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a championship is really nice," said ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I won when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and frequent reactions on the tennis court had caused some to doubt if his capacity to compete at the highest level was over.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and compete positively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the first set against the difficult opponent, taking four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors traded breaks in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden professional title, took control to push for a final set.
He defended four early-game chances in a close final set before Medvedev secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the title with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to handle a return after a lengthy match.
